Do's and Dont's in the Temple
- Woman should not go around the Temple (Pragharam) with their hairs covered by the towel.
- The end of their hair should not be left free, instead it should be tied properly.
- After worshipping, we should not leave the temple at once. We should sit for a while and do the “Dhyanam” (meditation) towards the Perumal.
- Minimum 3 times atleast, we should come around the Pragharam.
- Keeping silence in the temple and going around the temple in silence is a very good way to follow. When we get into the temple and as well as coming out, the silence should be followed. Worshipping the God in silence is the best way to reach him and this is the right way of dedicating our prayers to him.
- We should not light any lamps (Vilakku), which is used by others.
